Linda Atkinson

Linda Atkinson, Ph.D., is Director of STEM Partnerships and Associate Director of the K20 Center for Educational and Community Renewal at the University of Oklahoma. At the university level, Linda has been recognized as twelfth in obtaining external funding for the University of Oklahoma and serves as co-principal investigator in projects funded by National Science Foundation, U.S. Department of Education, and numerous state and local agencies. Her research focuses on the integration of technology in teaching and learning processes to improve student achievement, especially investigating the use of technology as a tool and its connections to STEM content learning. Dr. Atkinson is actively involved in state and national science leadership organizations and is currently president of the National Science Education Leadership Association. She has been an educator for over thirty years serving in various roles; i.e., secondary science teacher, site administrator, district curriculum director, and university adjunct professor. During her tenure, Linda has provided a wide array of professional development, including curriculum alignment, performance and program assessment, technology integration, and systemic change processes.
