Barbara Kaufmann is Manager Education Giving, and Director, 3M
Foundation. She is responsible for the strategy and implementation of
3M's support to education which targets Math, Science and
Economics/Business education from elementary through Graduate School.
Barbara joined 3M in 1977 and since 1989 has served in various positions
within 3M's Community Affairs Department. Barbara is a graduate of the
College of St. Catherine receiving a B.A. in Business Management and an
M.A. in Organizational Leadership. She currently serves on the Boards of
the Minnesota Council on Economic Education, Junior Achievement of the
Upper Midwest, SciMath MN and the Council for Opportunity in Education's
Corporate Advisory Board. Barbara and her husband, Mark, have three
children who are in college. She enjoys gardening, entertaining and
travel.
