Ezra Penermon

Ezra Penermon has over 23 years of experience in industry/education partnerships, community leadership and project management. Mr. Penermon currently serves as Director of Education Policy in Texas Instruments Educational & Productivity Solutions business. In this role he works with administrators, influencers and policymakers at the state and national level to advocate for TI technology. In a former position as Director of Workforce Development he conceptualized and launched strategies to engage key educational institutions in workforce development efforts. Ezra has assumed leadership roles on local and national workforce-related boards and committees and was integral in forming a Dallas/Ft. Worth-based industry / education consortium, the Regional Workforce Leadership Council. He also successfully co-led efforts to develop and deploy new technical curriculum adopted by 14 educational institutions. Mr. Penermon has been a member of numerous committees and boards. Examples of positions held are Co-Chair of the Greater Dallas Chamber Workforce Taskforce; Member of the Dallas Public Schools Career Advisory Committee; Board Member of the National Tech Prep Network Advisory Council and the Collin County Community College Foundation; and Co-Principal Investigator for the North Texas Regional Technology Consortium Grant. He has also co-led teams that have been awarded numerous grants, including a $2.5M NSF NTRTC Grant for a Convergence Advanced Technology Education Center. Numerous awards include the Golden Apple Award – Outstanding Advocate for Engineering Technology, Collin County College, (2005), President's Award for Excellence, Texas Association of College Technical Educators, (2002), Partnerships In Education, Irving ISD, (2002), Caterpillar Exemplary Worksite Learning Award, National Tech Prep Network, (2001) and Innovation of the Year, Richland College, (2001). Additional past roles at TI includes service as Assistant Project Manager in TI's DMOS 5 Wafer Fabrication Plant startup, a Business Systems Analyst and various engineering and manufacturing roles.

In addition to these outstanding experiences, Ezra is a strong advocate for community involvement in education. He has worked to engage students in educational experiences, career exploration and job-shadowing activities through the Greater Dallas Chamber Workforce Taskforce, WorkSource (the Dallas Workforce Board) and his church. Mr. Penermon holds a Masters in Biblical Studies and a Bachelors in Electronics/Management. He and his wife have four children.
