Glenn
Ruskin joined the American Chemical Society (ACS) in May 2005 as
Director, Office of Legislative and Government Affairs (OLGA) and he
leads ACS's efforts to promote public policies advancing science and the
chemical enterprise for the benefit of its members and society. Ruskin
brings over 27 years senior management experience in both the public and
private sector and has broad based experience in government affairs,
public relations, corporate communications, media relations, litigation
communications and environmental affairs. His private sector experience
has largely focused on the chemical manufacturing sector, and he is well
versed in the issues, challenges and complexities that face the
industry. Earlier in his career he worked on Capitol Hill for the late
Congressman James J. Howard (D-NJ) and for a small New Jersey urban city
where he was responsible for overall urban, economic, transportation and
residential development. Ruskin received his B.A. degree from Drew
University and his Masters of Science in Administration from The George
Washington University.
