Jeff
Weidenaar is currently the Vice President of Mathematics Product
Development at McDougal Littell, a leading publisher of 6-12 curriculum
materials. The programs and technology that he directs include the
market-leading Larson mathematics series and the NSF-funded STEM series.
His publishing career dates back to 1989, when he left middle school
teaching to take an editing job during the summer “just to pay the
bills.” Since then, he has worked closely with teachers to develop a
variety of math, science, and technology products. He has served as a
publisher liaison with National Middle School Association for 7 years.
In his free time, he founded a MATHCOUNTS team at a local middle school
and has served as the team’s coach for the past 3 years. He is a
graduate of the University of Iowa, where he received his certification
to teach Mathematics and English in grades 6-12. |
