gathering. Fellows, along with their supervisors, Triangle staff and
DOE staff, gathered at an Arlington restaurant for an evening of
food and celebration. |

Several Fellows attended the Mole Day (October 23, 2007) American
Chemical Society Reception. The reception was in conjunction with

Einstein Fellows had the opportunity to meet and listen to a
lecture by Norm Augustine, the chairman of the committee that wrote
"Rising Above the Gathering Storm". Many of his education
initiatives were aimed at teacher training, professional
development, and greater incentives for recruitment and retention of
teachers. Einstein Fellow at NOAA, Judy Reeves says, "He was very
gracious to us; told us "Teachers are MY heroes." Terrific man."

Jefferson National Accelerator Facility in Newport News,
